Obligation for using Turnitin System(Thesis Plagiarism prevention system)

 

Students who applied for paper screening after Spring semester in 2014 have a duty to check the plagiarism of dissertation. We notice you the information  about checking for similarity of thesis for degree by Thesis Plagiarism prevention system and submitting the results as below.

 

1. Object : Obligation to check thesis plagiarism by using Turnitin System


2. Qualification: Students who expected to submit thesis(dissertation), Fall semester in 2014


3. Application and Using procedure

  1) To apply for using Turnitin System, send e-mail to person in charge of Graduate school after writing down

      the details below.
   - E-mail Address of person in charge in graduate school : thesis@ajou.ac.kr(Tel:031-219-2303)
   - Details : Course(Master's/Doctorate/Integrated), Department, Student's ID, Name, Email address in Ajou,

                  Purpose of use
  2) Office of Graduate school will send you the e-mail including class ID, Password and Process of how to use the

      system.
  3) Based on Process of using the system, sign up and login on the Turnitin Homepage.
  4) Click "Ajou University Graduate School" Class and Upload the dissertation to check similarity by clicking

      submission button for each purpose

  5) Self checking for similarity of thesis for degree
  

 

4. Submission of results and confirmation from academic advisor

Classfication Period Required Documents Remarks
Submission of Self Checking Results Before the date of 1st review for thesis

- Full text of Self Checking Thesis

- Digital Receipt

- Submit it to Academic Advisor

- Print out required documents from the program

Confirmation of Self Checking Results Before the date of 1st review for thesis Confirmation Letter of Academic Advisor(established form) Confirmed by Academic Advisor

* Academic Advisor will give a report to Committee of review in the period of paper screening.
    Committee of review will judge to revise and supplement or not.


 5. Additional Submission of documents when submitting the results of review for thesis

  - Digital Receipt, Paper marked similiarity (%) (Submit the output from program)
  - Certificate of checking plagiarism of dissertation(Confirmed by Academic Advisor)
